Forklift drivers often work long shifts; they sit for hours on end in a cabin while twisting and stretching all kinds of body parts. Sometimes the cabin of their truck does not even isolate them properly from harsh sounds or gruesome weather conditions. That’s how our design team got to thinking that our latest truck should include even more features to benefit the driver, as it would be an advantage to any operation if their drivers can fully focus on doing their jobs accurately and safely. And so, our new Traigo80 electric counterbalanced truck was created, a driver-focussed, ergonomically designed piece of material handling equipment. With our Traigo80 range, we try to optimise driver comfort and minimise physical strain, so your driver can go home pain-free after a long working day.
Safe, comfortable and protected
We have redesigned the driver compartment to fit the wants and needs of your driver and we decided to include some extra storage possibilities while we were at it. Our new 80-volt electric truck now has a fully floating driver compartment that is fully isolated, not only from the truck itself but also from its surroundings. This results in much lower noise levels and minimal vibrations for the driver, which can only help the operator concentrate.
We didn’t only design the new 80-volt range with the driver in mind, we also took the most demanding environments into consideration. The Traigo80 is built for strength and durability, it can withstand the toughest conditions, both indoors and outdoors, without losing any of its power. Its cabin perfectly protects the driver from outside elements like rain, wind, snow, sun and even cold and heat. Working outdoors has become just as comfortable as indoors. We have several cabin options to suit your specific needs: steel cabins, cabins without doors and canvas cabins, cabins with front windshield wipers and cabins that can take on any kind of weather. Traigo80 will fit your organisation while at the same time being beneficial for your operators’ health and productivity.
Full control at your fingertips
Not only the driver compartment can be given a facelift if desired, the armrest has received an update as well. The fully adjustable armrest now gives perfect comfort to the driver. Your driver can now adjust the armrest in such a way that all key functions are within reach, without having to overstretch his body. Additionally, multiple internal storage compartment and a USB plug were added to the armrest, as it's always handy to put away some items or charge your phone.
Even the control unit got a new look. While our standard mini-lever control system to operate truck direction and fork movement seems to be popular among drivers, we also offer a single multi-function control unit or twin hydraulic control levers. And as our interface could not stay behind on receiving an ‘update’, our Traigo80 is available with an optional brand-new colour touchscreen - like the one in our most recent reach trucks, the Toyota BT Reflex - that easily provides crucial information in an intuitive way, making operations efficient and highly productive. It lets the driver programme different driving parameters to match their personal driving preferences, like speed warning, language or heating. All of these features aim to increase safety. However, we also offer the display screen with push-button controls as a standard.
Let your truck Assist you in safety
The Traigo80 also has many Assist functions to even further increase driver safety and efficiency. Among these functions is Toyota’s renowned System of Active Stability (SAS), a feature that continuously monitors the load weight, lift height and truck speed to maintain stability during your operations, causing your truck not to tip over. The truck has great visibility onward and upward (through the roof), it automatically reduces its speed when turning a corner to prevent any accidents from happening and it has several optional safety features such as a backup camera. Our new Traigo80 truck has a lot of ergonomic features to make your drivers comfortable and get them through their shift. It offers a nice driving experience and leads to enhanced safety, efficiency and productivity throughout your operation.
